A shift at The Institute
You are an average night guard working at The Magnus institute, London.
Your job is simple:watch the cameras and make sure nobody does anything illegal. Sure, creepy stuff happens around here all the time, but that's none of your business.
Usually you dont have much to do around here, so today you decided to play on your phone if you get bored. After all, it's not like your boss, Elias Bouchard, can see you, so what harm can it do?
Can you get through that hard level on your favourite game while avoiding the things that lurk the institute? Or will you fall in one of their mind-boggling traps?
This game was made for the ROG Challenge 2024 gamejam. It aligns with the theme of "Republic of Gamers" because the player character is *a gamer* and is trying to complete a game while at work( enjoyable, but not reccomended :] )
Controls:
- -A/D or arrows to move thru cameras, click on the monitor to view the cameras
- -Click and hold the phone to try to finish that hard Furious Avians level
- -Most weird stuff goes away when you click it, though not all of it is really there :]
Assets used:
- For camera effects
- For the vase
- For The Man Who Is Not There
- For the rooms
- For the phone
- Sound effects were sampled from "The Magnus Archives", a podcast distributed by Rusty Quill and written by Jonathan Sims. The monsters' designs and behavior was also inspired by this podcast. It's really cool, check it out.
